Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. To get quotes, we ask for gender, date of birth, your general health status, tobacco use, the coverage amount you want, and how many years of coverage. Those six pieces of information are all we need to show you carrier rates. We only collect your name, address, and detailed health information if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The prices you see are what each carrier is quoting for the health class you selected. They're for comparison only. Your actual premium will be set by the carrier after underwriting, which can confirm, improve, or change your class. Nothing here counts as an insurance offer or a price guarantee.
What happens when I click Apply?
You select a quote and continue into a secure online application, prefilled with the information you provided here. The application runs on the carriers' secure platform and is handled by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129). You can pause, come back later, and sign electronically whenever you're ready. No application is final until you've signed and a policy is issued.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the carrier, your age, the amount you're applying for, and your health answers. Several carriers now offer streamlined underwriting for qualified applicants, with decisions coming back sometimes within a day. Each quote shows whether the carrier expects an exam, may require one, or doesn't require one for that product.
Is a longer term better?
A term period should match the years when your income matters most to the people who depend on it: a mortgage, children still at home, a business obligation. Longer terms cost more each month but lock in your rate for longer. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years from each carrier.
Does this site sell my information?
We don't. The quote tool gathers no personal details—no email, no phone, no name—and we don't sell or share data. Our analytics are cookieless and we don't use advertising trackers. Read the privacy page for the complete details of what we measure and why.
